Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 March 2026

1. Agreement

By accessing or using Sentinel (“the Service”), operated by The Fourths Digital Agency (Pty) Ltd (“the Company”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Sentinel is a domain security management platform that monitors, diagnoses, and assists in remediating email authentication configurations (DMARC, SPF, DKIM, BIMI, MTA-STS, TLS-RPT) across your domains. The Service includes DNS record scanning, email header analysis, alerting, and optional auto-remediation via Cloudflare integration.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable Use

You may only scan and monitor domains that you own or have explicit authorisation to manage. You may not use the Service to scan, probe, or attack domains belonging to others. You may not reverse-engineer the Service, attempt to bypass security controls, or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

5. Auto-Remediation

If you enable auto-remediation via Cloudflare integration, Sentinel may modify DNS records on your behalf. You acknowledge that DNS changes can affect email delivery and other services. You authorise these changes by enabling the feature and accept responsibility for the consequences. All remediation actions are logged in the audit trail.

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. We do not claim ownership of your domain configurations, email headers, or scan data. We may use anonymised, aggregated data for service improvement.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control. We will provide reasonable notice of planned downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to email delivery failures, DNS misconfigurations, or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination. After 30 days, your data will be permanently deleted.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa.
